If I have God, I don’t need people.
1. Christ is sufficient (Colossians 2:9-10) and rules the universe
(Revelation 19:6.)
2. But does He do everything?
a. He uses angels to minister. Hebrews 1:14
b. He uses nature to reveal. Psalms 19:1
c. He uses people to help people. 1 Peter 4:8-10
d. He has even used animals to communicate. Numbers 22:28-30
3. People are a means of distributing God’s grace to others. Romans
12:6, Ephesians 4:7
4. Two are better than one… Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
5. We are to support one another. Romans 12:10; 13:8; 14:13, Galatians
5:13, Ephesians 4:25,32
6. We function as different parts in unity. 1 Corinthians 12:21-27
7. We are to build each other up. Ephesians 4:15-16 How can
we do this alone?
8. Comfort can come from God alone. Psalm 119:76, Isaiah 49:13,
Acts 9:31
9. But comfort also comes from people. 2 Corinthians 2:7; 7:6, Philemon
7, Job 42:11
10. We need the help of others in understanding His Word. Acts 8:30-31
11. Friendship is effective. 1 Samuel 23:16
12. God did not isolate Himself from us. Hebrews 4:15 Was Jesus
a hermit when He lived here on earth?
13. People who are disconnected from other people cannot draw close
to God. 1 John 4:20
14. What good is faith without works? James 2:15-16
15. Come face to face with others who love you. 2 John 12.
