Both the Old and New Testaments
of the Bible remind us of many
who trusted God and His
promises. Hebrews 11:10 gives the example of
Abraham, who "waited for
the city which has foundations, whose builder
and maker is God." And verse
13 tells us that Abraham and many others
"all died in faith, not having
received the promises, but having seen them
afar off were assured of them,
embraced them and confessed that they
were strangers and pilgrims on
the earth."
