THE LORD OF ANGELS

From a third story balcony,
A small child took a fall;
Only to find at the hospital,
A few bruises that was all.

The child asked this question
As his mother’s face turned pale,
"Mama, where’s the man in white
That caught me when I fell?"

A woman with a flattened tire
was on an abandoned road;
The sky was getting dark,
and she was scared and cold.

Then seemingly from nowhere
came a man with words of cheer;
He changed the tire for her
then mysteriously disappeared.

Stories like these are many,
and from the Bible we can see;
God often sends His angels
to help when we’re in need.

Perhaps, on many occasions
(though we are unaware)
We’ve escaped the grasp of danger,
through an angel’s service there.

But we shouldn’t worship angels,
that’s a sin by God abhorred;
For even the angels kneel and worship
Jesus Christ the Lord.

Jesus is the Lord of angels,
and I hope He’s your Lord too;
For He’s the One that came to earth,
and gave His life for you!

"Are they not all ministering spirits,
sent out to render service for the sake
of those who will inherit salvation?"
