Facts About The Deadliest Serpent
(According to the Bible)

*The Deadliest Serpent is Satan.  Revelations 12:9-10 "And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him."

*He is Cunning or Crafty.  Genesis 3:1 “Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made.

*He is a murderer and a liar.  John 8:44  "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.”

*He often appears as good.  2 Corinthians 11:14  “And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”

*His desire is to destroy us.  1 Peter 5:8  “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

*Everyone has experienced death through his "strike".  Romans 5:12  “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned.”

*He blinds people to the Truth that will save them.  2 Corinthians 4:3-4  “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

*He has been defeated through the works of Christ. Hebrews 2:14  "Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil."

*If you do not belong to God, you belong to him. I John 3:9-10  “No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.”

*Only through Christ can we defeat him and be saved. Acts 4:10-12  "Then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed...Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

1 John 5:11-12 "And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life."
